Pumpkin Patch Field Trip 2014!

Our class went on a field trip to Madrac Farms Pumpkin Patch in Rincon, Georgia. We had a blast! First, we went through a corn maze.  After the corn maze, we went on a hay ride. Then we jumped in bounce houses and went down a HUGE slide. We also got to pet and feed goats. Once we ate lunch, we got to pick our very own pumpkin to take home! Our pumpkin patch field trip was incredible! Now that's something to buzz about!

Geometry Fun!

We have been learning about shapes. We learned that shapes have attributes. We also learned how to construct shapes. Last week, our teacher let us construct shapes with our bodies! We had to work together to figure out how we could use our bodies to make 3 different shapes. After we made shapes with our bodies, we wrote about the attributes of each shape in our math journals. We also worked with our table groups to compare and contrast the shapes. The activity was awesome! Hooray for shapes!
