We cut out cool pictures of animals from magazines. We gathered recycled coffee cans from the art teacher. We made awesome animal art projects! Hooray for A Day!

ABC Countdown to the Last Day of School!
As a fun way to celebrate the last few weeks of
school, our class has been doing an ABC countdown to summer! We will participate in daily activities to celebrate all things ABC! This is going to be a fun and exciting
way to celebrate our school year!
Virtual Field Trip Fun!
Our class took a virtual field trip to meet with the President of the United States! We joined thousands of other students all over the country to hear the President talk about reading and writing. We learned that the President has to read and write on his job. We also learned that he wants all students to have equal access to the best technology in schools. We loved seeing the President! Our virtual field trip was a great success!

First Grade Flashback: Digital Learning Day!
Our class participated in Digital Learning Day! We read digital books on our Chromebooks. We created an online quiz about Dr. Seuss using a website called Kahoot. We also had fun reviewing our skills with Kahoot quizzes. We tweeted about our day on Twitter. Digital Learning Day was incredible!

Our class had an amazing time learning about St. Patrick's Day. On St. Patrick's Day, we did not have school. Our city had a large parade. It was fun!

First Grade Flashback: Reading Camp Out!
Our class had a Reading Camp Out. We pitched tents. We brought sleeping bags and blankets. We camped out in the classroom and read books by the virtual fire. Our Reading Camp Out was so much fun!

National Oreo Cookie Day!
Happy Birthday Oreo!
We celebrated National Cookie Day! We learned about the history of the Oreo Cookie and wrote informational paragraphs about what we learned. Oreo Cookies are the best!
